i started research on that on thurgood marshall, john franklin, spike lee, our attorney general, erik holder, doctors, it just amazed me how many people had encounters with racial profiling, and most of them did nothing. what do they want? they didn't want a million dollars or satisfaction of a lawsuit. they simplimented an apology, and i -- they simply wanted an apology. i tell the stories because people who find themselves victimized can tell their story and get others to respond to it. >> thank you for your time. >> secret historian is nominated for a finalist in the nonfiction category. it is the life an times of sam mule -- samuel steward. that's a subtitle. who was that? >> it's a secret life i brought to life for the first time. he was a university professor who dropped out of being an academic to become a researcher, a tattoo artist in boston, and later on wrote pornography. >> how do you find this guy? >> it took a lot of searching, and when i came among these papers, i knew i had an amazing life story that nobody had touched before. i put his life back together and put it in

right now we have 27 degrees our temperature at bwi thurgood marshall, 20 the dew point, relative humidityalm readings as far as the winds. 30.17 is the barometer reading. look at this range of temperatures, 16 in ocean city is the coldest spot on the map, 18 in oakland is a very close second. we do have 30 in cumberland, 20 in elkton. temperatures all over the place but nowhere are they above freezing right now. we're only going up to 35 area wide. calm readings as far as the winds. they're variable right now, but they will eventually start to uniformly come in from the northwest. that's going to help suppress our temperatures again, keeping them well below the average of the mid-40s. 45 is our average high. keep in mind this time last year, while we're dealing with the cold now, this time last year we were dealing with a 20-inch snowfall that shut things down for much of the christmas holiday. we're not dealing with anything like that. this storm has the potential to do that, but it is being pushed out to sea now. low pressure to our north and high pressure just offshore helping to steer
