tiffany booker you are about to meet was sleeping inside. >> i wake up and i hear is a glass breaking. and it's a glass in the kitchen. i come out the grill's on the ground, on the side and the yard. the grill is on the ground. okay. so the grill didn't get there by itself. >> reporter: tiffany booker is skeptical about how this fire started. pointing to a grill that was knocked over. i am trying to find the fire chief who was here at the scene. the fire marshal's office is here investigating. and i want to get their take and their thoughts on how this fire started. but as you can see, firefighters are still in the cleanup process, they are still hosing down some hot spots. but they are investigating. they are able to get inside the house now and hopefully they will figure out in the next bit how this fire began. we'll see you for another live update. >> on to this story now. police in montgomery county are looking for a robber who assaulted someone early this morning. it happened around 1:30 on gray wall lane in lower merion. we're not sure what happened. police haven't told us and h

the woman who lives here tiffany booker tells us she wasn't injured but she believes this start fredn outside grille. she said when she left it there last night the grille was secured but when she walked outside this morning it was on the ground. her nephew said it was fortunate he had been walking by. >> i'm walking past to go to the chinese store get a cigarette, i see my under a house on fire from the back. and i just kicked the window in try to get her to come out. >> reporter: his aunt's home has now been condemned. heavy equipment will be here later to take it down. the other side of the twin is damaged but authorities don't know yet if that has to come down, too. a third home has some damage to the siding and a window. nine people have been displaced. again, the fire marshal remains on the scene investigating the cause and the origin of this blaze. we're live in overbrook, katherine scott channel6 "action news. >> katherine thank you for that. >>> it is 6:07. new on "action news" the arrest of a texas man accused of making terror threats in a case that has ties to the delaware

. >> homeowner tiffany booker said she was rescued from her living room before the burning got bad. >> guy around the corner, he was hollering, saying something is on fire, and he would try to get me out of there. but i didn't see if i just heard the glass break, and then there was a lot of smoke. >> off camera next-door neighbors tell "eyewitness news" their smoke alarms woke them up. count eight resident as displaced, about 1:23 a.m. firefighter got the call pulling up with four engines and ladders, once inside, crews battled the blaze from both houses focusing on shared fire wall. within one hour the fire was under control, and though the burning house collapsed, the adjoining home was mostly saved, though the city deems it unsafe. one firefighter was treated for signs of exhaustion, two cats, and two turtles also rescued and are safe. the shear heat of this fire actually caused the vinyl siding on the next-door home to melt. and as you can see here, hours after the fire crews are remaining on scene to douse potential hot spots inside. in overbrook, justin finch, cbs-3, "eyewitness
