i am tiffany wilson. we will look outside at our exploratorium camera and you can see there is a lot of moisture in the area. drew has a first look at weather. good evening, drew. >> good evening, tiffany. we are starting to see light showers move through the bay area. it is associated with a warm front that will bring mild air for the morning rush. a quick look at live doppler 7hd. much of the region is dry. as we press in light showers are hanging around tiburon and stinson beach. as we push in further to the north, light showers in the north bay around novato and vallejo and even some light showers around napa. much of the activity over the next couple hours is going to fall apart. what you can expect in the next 24 hours, the showers will diminish overnight. for tomorrow morning we will start off on the mild side with the warm front overhead. there could be areas of degrees swrel especially for the morning rush early on and we will track our third storm arriving late tomorrow night. we will talk more a

abc 7 news reporter tiffany wilson takes a look at what happened since that fire in march. >> reporterehind me is known as nb 360 block 5. it was supposed to open in august. that didn't happen, but they have made a lot of progress since the day after the fire. it took 150 firefighters hours to extinguish a fire that erased months of hard work. this video shows the destruction just a few days later. construction workers estimate the 172 unit complex was 80% complete prior to the march 11th fire. investigators ruled it an accident most likely the result of welding work on the top floor. johnny khan remembers watching the building burn. today, crews hammer nails into new wood, rebuilding every inch of what was lost. off camera, a worker told me there is still about a month of work behind where they were in march. the setback led to significant repercussions for the furniture store across the street. the showroom is empty, alienated by construction, closed off to foot traffic. the owner worries they may have to close. overhead, cranes crown mission bay. the warriors arena expected to break

wlets check in with tiffany wilson from san rafael. >> the heavy rain is difficult on the equipment. tons of sand. there's a couple of shovels and a fresh palette of sandbags. slul no sabd to be found. they hoped the sand would arrive at 6:00 a.m. here it is 8:30, no sand. sthair they're saying it could be as late as noon. a woman just pulled off into this parking lot looking for that sand. she came. she was prepared. again, not here yet. they're expecting 100 tons of sand at five locations. i have tweeted out the locations. you can find all of them. but again, a delay obviously in that delivery. and then to talk about the flooding that we're seeing here, this is just water. this is backup water. it's too much for the drains to handle. you can see them wading into it. earlier it barely hit my ankles. now it's coming up to the middle of my calf. so the water is intensifying here. it really has nowhere to go. if i turn the camera, this is at the marin center fairgrounds. that oil is very, very saturated. and that's why we're hearing all the reports of flooding throughout the area. and

tefny wilson is live in noef toe with a look at the flooding there. tiffany?ll, if you take a look at the street behind me, just about an hour ago it was nearly dry. but we have been dealing with steady and heavy rain. you can see the water level has started to rise. the good news is officials just sent out an ea mail saying across the the county the flooding is starting to recede. earlier today garden court would be more appropriately place pond place. this woman waded through waters at her knees. she says fortunately her house sits on a raised foundation. >> i woke up to a flooded backyard. seven months pregnant and flooded backyard. >> her husband is out of town so she thought she would dig a trench with her 2-year-old in toe. then a band of neighbors showed up with shovels. >> we get together and help each other out. >> we consider our neighbors the world's best neighbors, and this morning validated that. 100%. >> from backyard swamps to front yard flooding. these families set up store bought pumps and garden hoses, sending water down the streets. weert se
