abc 7 news reporter tiffany wilson is live for us. tiffany? >> reporter: hi, reggie, yes, former first lady michelle obama wrapped up her keynote a few moments ago in front of thousands of people, many of whom waited in line for hours to the chance to see her. i was in the room when she gave the speech, very off the cuff and candid. she got the crowd laughing and cheering at least a dozen times. salesforce ceo marc benioff led the conversation with michelle obama and dozens of local schoolchildren were seated in the front rows. they received quite a bit of attention from the former first lady. after the hour-long discussion, one woman told me that she had goose bumps. a man says he took away the lesson you need to start change with yourself before you can lead external change. another listener called the talk simply amazing. >> i thought it was fantastic how she was able to focus on a range of issues with the ceo and i think what stood out most to me was how they integrated conversations about balancing work life with family values and integra

abc 7 news reporter tiffany wilson spoke to the good samarit samaritan, she's live at the scene just off valasco drive. >> reporter: i'm standing in the back of the building where the damage is the worst. the good samaritan says once he saw the fire, he absolutely had to stop. he couldn't bear the thought of o someone getting injured. many of the families he woke up were confused and disoriented but they all got out safely. the femme who lived in this unit say they woke to the sound of fire before they smelled smoke or felt the heat of the flames. neighbors credit a different sound with urging them out of their beds. >> one guy knocked on the door. >> reporter: chris flores lives a few blocks away, he was driving to get coffee when he saw ash in the air. >> i kept looking up, i thought maybe i'm seeing things. i didn't see any fire. when i got here, i noticed the building was on fire. so i got out and started slamming on doors and trying to get people out. >> reporter: this woman grabbed her most valuable documents and a favor pair of shoes. allison ran out in her pajamas. >> i was a
