subcommittee clerk, jenny, tim, adam and ann and ryan. as mr. frelinghuysen noted, the legislative branch division of this bill provides $3.81 billion excluding senate items with $456 million for the capitol police, house million for the sergeant at arms and looking at the security needs of the staff and members and visitors. the bill $5.4 million for the office of compliance and $147 million for the house chief administrative officer will respond to the sex sexual harassment that has been pervasive. and has only recently become a national scandal. $642 million for the architect of the capitol will reduce our backlog of deferred maintenance. $579 million for the government accountability office and bring the auditor and watchdog up to the staffing level it needs to root out waste, fraud and abuse. those are some of the worth while issues we are putting taxpayer dollars in the legislative branch appropriations bill. unfortunately i have to oppose this bill, it isn't because the funding for the legislative branch agencies or energy and water or mi
