my name is tim ernst. operation for team six. as we talked about yesterday, there's a lot of busyness on the map and i want to really quickly review some of the things we talked about yesterday. remembering ten days ago, 18 to 20 different fires. you can see on the map, identifiers where all the fires were. all of these separate fires have been contained and no longer pose any threat. several fires burned together adds we talked about. we had split that into two separate zones. those separate zones now split or have joined together into one fire. this is all now being held as one large fire. a lot of good work has happened in the last 24 hours and we talked yesterday about the difference between looking at red line on a map and black line. black line being an area of the fire perimeter that's been contained. we no longer see a threat before movement of the fire. you'll see we have black line all the way up this east side of the fire and north top of the one piece of the fire. that is great news and really provides a lot more safe

we have the incident here with chief tim ernst. >> my name is team ernst. the several sim bogg symbology. and extremely happy with the amount of black light. we've contained the fire on the map. 24 to 4 hou8 hours. this entire east side, show under containment. we do not expect any future growth of the fire in those to side of the fire though, we still do have a lot of areas shown in red. to stop possible future movement of the fire. and a lot of these checkered line which are dozer lines. we put in line from dozers contingencies, actually get out of the current perimeter. and the top the damage in potential for damage to any of the populated on the west, as well as the infrastructure concerns. really happy to see a lot more black light on the map today than you saw the last time we briefed. strengthening these contingency lines. the dozer lines around the side and should firefighters be overwhelmed by conditions in this area of the fire here, we do have a secondary plan in place to contain the fire at different levels of contingency. rapidly to the south a

here, scu lightning complex, we'll start off with the operation briefing from the operation chief, tim ernst. >> before we talk about the incident, i want to talk about the map. i want to make sure we're all understanding the same thing. when we look at the map of the fire, you see a lot on the outside. the black perimeter. what you're looking for is go off to the incident through the oncoming days and weeks of the incident. you want to see more of this black line along the map. this is an extremely challenging incident. when we arrived on scene, we ended up with approximately 20 individual fires. we split the 20 incidents down into three separate zones that you see identified on the map behind me. the top area we call the dear zone, and then we have the canyon zone. we've been very successful in eliminating any further threat heeer zone. el contained and circled. a number of them have grown together. don't have a lot of small fires, they've grown together. that is what makes up these two with the canyon. both of those fires have also grown together as you can see. as we look on the map, i t
