i'd like to thank tim frye and others who spent a lot of time with us answering our questions and how has the promising program worked in practice? >> the number certified is 1.8 million. there were there are others that could be certified. so that t dr was certified from 1 hundred and telephone buildings and the $2.7 million has been used ton 34 development projects it involves 24 buildings. so of the 32 buildings 80 percent of 26 buildings were newly constructed and the other 6 were to do expansion. so i'll give you the range of sizes those have been certified you can see quite the range. the smallest has been 8 hundred and the larger is from the annex. 3 thousand 9 hundred ways used on the millennium tower. we have to accommodates the projects 13 required one transaction and the others required other tractions per development. we had the list of those buildings that are certified t dr in the apexes you may be interested in. okay. so what does the market look like. this is 20000 and in the light blue is the number of unused buildings in existence. in no year it dips below 2 million

tim frye, department staff here to share with you the results of yesterday's historic preservation commission hearing. i did have one or two small announcements just to follow-up on commissioner sugaya's comments regarding saturday's san francisco architectural heritage summit. the department was a partner in that summit and preservation staff presented on the city's current landmark designation work program with a focus on the recently designated sam jordan's bar as well as our current work in the japantown and west soma communities to document social and cultural heritage in those neighborhoods. and we felt it was a great opportunity to continue a conversation that started at this commission at the end at the historic preservation commission last winter. and certainly when the jh comes to you and the [speaker not understood] would like to continue that conversation about how the city can better respond to documenting that heritage throughout the city. one other small announcement was on july 11th, the department hosted a no zac clinic within the [speaker not understood] district. this was t

tim frye, department staff, here to share a couple items from yesterday's historic preservation commission hearing. the department consulting gave the hpc an overview of a market analysis ~ of the city's tdr program. this report was also forwarded to the planning commission. earlier this summer, the study was mainly commissioned to provide the city information on whether or not it would be feasible to sell tdr from city-owned properties in order to fund essential seismic and rehabilitation upgrades to those historic buildings that are eligible and adjacent to the c-3 district. the item was just informational. overall the hpc agreed with the report and made some comments on areas of the program that warranted further study or consideration by the city. the hpc also showed its enthusiastic support for the j. chess which is also on your calendar. hpc reviewed the c-e-q-a amendments that are also on your calendar today and after presentations by staff, zviv and swedener's office and a good deal of public testimony, the hpc passed a recommendation 6 to 1 in support of supervisor kim and chiu's
