we find nbc 10's tim furlong. how are things looking? >> reporter: it was a light rain, not a a lot of wind. this is woodland beach. this is where the delaware river becomes the delaware bay and vice versa. this is where it all comes together. it's a very low lying spot. sometimes when it rains heavily, the river comesp. they have this marshy area and there's only one road leading into town. that road is actually technically below sea level. this is zach and his son travis. when you're here, you know that in the next couple days this might not be a good place to be. >> it's 4 to 5 hours give or take. >> somebody told me the tide goes up over the road and you're stuck here. it could be a much higher situation with the water we're about to get. are you concerned you're going to get stuck here? >> as far as the high tide goes, you're going to be stuck here t given time. definitely don't want to be riding through that's a bad idea. >> we hope you stay safe. thanks for talking to us. you can see it on my jacket. to get back out of o pick up.

tim furlong was sent to the state fair today to find out about the safety and inspection process. he'll have that story new at 5:00. >>> today the mayor of pennsylvania's third largest city was defiant in court as he faced a judge on charges of extortion and fraud. we heard the possibility of secret tapes in this case. randy gyllenhaal was inside the courtroom today. he's bringing us up to date live. >> ed pawlowski stood in front of the federal judge as a long list of charges were read back to him. he pled not guilty and just a little bit ago told us outside the courtroom he will not only win his bat until court but will win reelection this november. alongside his wife and attorney, ed pawlowski faces more than 50 corruption charges. he says he will fight every single one. >> i know i'm innocent. i did nothing wrong and i'm looking forward to my day in court to prove that. >> reporter: he was released on $50,000 bail. prosecutors had had had no comment for our cameras. but they required pawlowski surrender his passport. >> it is clear to me that the mayor did nothing wrong. >> re
