sardinia officer tim hubbard says none officers on scene added up--as to why he was carrying a gun on his side, had cuffs in the car, a scanning radio and a bulletproof vest. "we checked with the local fire department that he claimed he would run with. we also checked with the local sheriff's office with the jail he said he was a corrections officer with...he could never get any information back." taylor told police he's a fireman with the gallatin county, kentucky fire department. we called that fire chief last week--and the chief told us--he'd never heard of brandon taylor. police charged taylor that night with a weapons charge--because he had this loaded 9mm on his side and didn't have a permit to carry in a vehicle. taylor was never charged with impersonating a cop. "had i found a badge, i would have charged him with that." along with the criminal charge--police are fighting taylor--to keep him from ever getting that gun back. barr: "the reason?" hubbard: "i believe that he was carrying it with the intention of being a police officer." we found brandon taylor after this week. barr
