do not expect to see new deals for matt cain or tim lincecum this week though they do remain a top priorityave to look at budgets two ways, one, what happens this year and then us a get into long-term contracts what, happens into the future starting next year, being 2013. what we do know is there are two different scenarios. we control timmy for the next two years, and that's a reality. we would like to do something longer term, but i think we'll probably proceed towards a one-year deal first to get a baseline and then figure it out from there, but we are open-minded. matt's case is much different. he's a free agent at the end of this year, and we have an opportunity to talk to him really, from you know, this point forward through spring training so we expect to have some conversations. >> reporter: meanwhile on the a's side of things, rumors continue to swifrl and andrew bailey and gio gonzalez. those pitches are probably not going anywhere. >> there's a big difference between shopping a guy and listening. i think in our situation we have to be open-minded to anything, but that's a far cry
