officer james wells and sergeant timothy miller. pete, those are your heroes this morning. many very young and new to the force. four of them had been there less than two years. one for three, one for four. and their sergeant 11 years. not a lot of experience but obviously trained. and but you can't train for a situation like this, will, as you said is it voice. can you trust it? can you not trust it. it reminds me of 24 that series where the clock is ticking. is it real? is it a hoax? is it a baited ambush? is there a secondary device? is it really 15 minutes? or is it 5? were the shot fired meant to draw in law enforcement who. none of those things are knowable in that moment. all they knew was they had a job to do and they went into the danger zone. helped people who would have otherwise died from the blast leave those buildings, saving their lives in the process. and, rachel, there's no other way to put it other than shear heroism and on christmas morning, nonetheless.
