the news4 i-team's tisha thompson here p with why neighbors say what happened yesterday matters so much to their case. tisha? >> people live eight long virginia avenue and southeast wanted a judge to stop csx from renovating its 100-year-old tunnel. csx says the one-track tunnel is starting to decay and creates a bottleneck which is why they want to double the size. but homeowners living next to the proposed construction zone like maureen cohen harrington along with a nonprofit group called the committee of 100 are going to court to stop the construction citing a long list of reasons including growing concerns about hazmats traveling through the city. last month the i-team spotted chemicals moving through the district that we found would require a mild mooil-wide evacuation zone if they caught fire or started to leak. cohen-harrington said today today she's more concerned than ever after yesterday's train explosion in west virginia when crude oil caught fire on this same csx line where another crude shipment exploded in lynchburgless than a year ago. now, csx has previously told us it i
