as tjpa is under this agreement. you mentioned hunters point. yes, phase 1, we went through a feasibility study effort there. we have i think four draft feasibility studies that we are conducting right now and other redevelopment areas within the city. historically and for those projects that are currently under evaluation, we have a city presence involved in the projects. so, that's been our historic focus. we are with this budget cycle in conversation with our commission about looking at other ways to increase our revenues to bring the benefits of the hetchy system to more san franciscans. so, i think you'll be hearing more about us and our efforts on that. >> and i also think it's important to look at the -- it is interesting to see are you getting your power from cpmc or pg&e. we can have a philosophical debate about which is better, but in terms of the tangible benefits for san francisco of increasing the customer base for the puc's power enterprise, by increasing that you would generate more revenue, for example, i know that there are huge

the tjpa board recognizes supervisor kim's leadership and she was appointed to board of directors and also chair of our board. she is the reason we've made progress this far. she is thoughtful and caring and provides a lot of information and valuable input. supervisor kim has not only been a transbay help in our neighborhood but many other factors in our neighbors, pedestrian safety, bicycle safety and other things that involve this community. it is my great pleasure to introduce the chair of the tjpa board of directors supervisor kim. [ applause ] >> in 2011 when i began my first year in office, maria invited the mayor and i to come to this site where we are standing today for the ribbon cutting for the beginning of construction for this site. in 2011, these ribbon cutings were more of a rarity. this was a ray of sunshine in san francisco that was providing jobs for men and women that had not been for years. this was a time in the recession that many of us remember, but almost, you almost barely remember it today. the mayor actually when i first started approached me in january to ta

in november, the tjpa board did approve their executive director entering into the agreement in december. our commission at the puc approved our general manager moving forward as well. as you know, we operate san francisco's municipal power utility. we're the power provider for this building and many others that the city owns to powering essential city services, powering ten analyst facilities. we provide affordable reliable clean greenhouse gas free power ~ and we're to mta, to the port, to the port, we're really excited about the opportunity to add this transit center to our portfolio of customers. we're looking forward to providing the benefits of our low-cost hetchy power to these municipal -- this municipal service. we have a lot of strengths in our local decision making and public accountability. we're very proud of that, and we have a comprehensive approach to providing electric service to the tjpa. we are going to be providing the project with savings by way of lower up front capital costs and operating cost savings because we provide service at a lower rate than pg&e otherwise w

and the veterans, that was, that whole effort was initiated by the tjpa and that has and the team, that is associated with it, and with the program has ran with it and has gone far, thanks to the initiatives from ucon who is one of the local, like, association government contractors, and a utahn is also a different organization, they have embraced the united for veteran's initiative and web core is one of the ones that was signed up for that as well, and they continue to hire the veterans and web corp has hired over a dozen staff at this point to their team. and plus they continue to work with the city's office of economic and workforce development to conduct the out reach and that is a very good year for that. so with that, i am going to turn it over to sarah, to continue. >> good morning, directors. as everybody knows, on the program wide front we closed on the record san francisco land sale, nearly 192 million for parcel t, the transbay tower earlier this year and many of you were at the ground break thating was held in march and if you walk down mission street, you can see that that

as much as possible what is out there and the entire team, and following the initiative, that the tjpa started and this is a continuous, to grow. and web corp. and he reported on the continued work with mission hiring hall and how they are doing quarterly sessions. and there are lessons that they do over in city college as they continue to work with various students to try to projects and work with city build for various package update sos that everyone can know what kind of work is coming out and obviously by the list that we have presented today, there is going to be a lot of exposure and a lot of opportunities coming up here. the international workers, and in attendance in our meeting on november first as well, and he reported as of what is happening as of today, they received over 13 applications for 100 to 200 apprenticeships so so they are receiving a lot of interest and so going back to the labor issues or lack thereof. he actually reported on it and how they are getting the apprentices graduated and how they have 45 journey men on the sites in the area and so all very good stat

right now, the mello-roos is up for discussion and we are working with tjpa to come up with the right funding plan for the impact fee sources. we are hoping to be back in a month with that. >> that's an area that there is a lot of projects being approved as we move forward and so that's moving the situation so probably your fees would be a lot different when all of these are approved and they can be factored in. >> absolutely and then we'll see which will take the lead on the next projects. >> and they have an ipf infrastructure and cbd which supplements the monies generated by the fees. >> yes, it's up to the community to vote on that. >> the dba is already there? >> it sure is. >> it seems to me this is a really good system. certain is voluntary. they have to have these situations. it seems they would approach in the neighborhood plan to see if those involved in the neighborhood would be supplemental funding. there is another location possibly howard. it's a fairly large park. >> there is three part. the first is rin econ park. the third is linear park called --es sex park. >> it ap

hear that evaluating the governor nans is part of that and i don't think that is something that we as tjpa can do by ourselves and i think that it has to be done with the cal train, joint powers forward and so that will need be to a joint exercise exploring up to perhaps, what the chair has suggested as maybe at some point these things need to, and that there are physically together and maybe governor ans wise and maybe delivery wise and i think that now is the time to start looking at that and so i very strongly, support that. that stream of work and analysis, and discussion between at least the two boards, if not, others that i don't know, where if the mtc or other kind of regional bodies might have a role in helping this. and i was also, wondering whether we see a role for fta and fra in advising through their pmos, on maybe not so much on governor ans, but at least on the delivery method part and be even between from the design build to cma risk and to design build and kind of maybe leaving from design build off to the governor ans discussion and i am wondering if we see the potential
