i mentioned last month that this organization was refer today the tjpa by the art commission. primary update on this slide is that township. lincoln's cleaning and engine engineering and maintenance vender have commenced the hiring process for the cleaning staff and started the process for the remainder of the engineers and maintenance team to support the chief engineer who was hired last fall. approximate initial staffing will be 30 between both groups and covering all shifts. tjpa and lincoln are also both working on addressing ac transit's requests for proposal for maintenance and security for the bus storage facility of which ac transit will be reem biers -- reimbursed 100%. this is ac transit this month. today the focus is the -- what we are calling the non-public event fee structure. so i'm going to be discussing that later this morning. for pearl, two key points with regard to pearl. they dme commerced their work te ready and then the rest will follow. the other action that we worked on this month is the advertising policy which comes up later in the consent calendar. d

i'm a chair of the tjpa cissensi citizens advisory committee. as we've heard, san francisco is vulnerable to seismic activity and emerging flood risks that could impact the entire city. the failure of the embarcadero seawall could have catastrophic consequences and pose serious risks while hindering the ability of first responders to aid our residents and visitors in the event of an earthquake. the embarcadero seawall is already experiencing localized flooding due to higher water levels and settlement in certain levels. the shoreline from pier 22 to pier nine includes some of the lowest shorelines in san francisco and these areas flood during king tides and storm events. the seawall earthquake safety program is a vital investment in the city's waterfront and will protect the entire city and hasten recovery after a major earthquake. i'd like to applaud the port and the city agencies for actively addressing these needs for replacing the seawall instead of waiting to react to a catastrophic event during a crisis situation. thank you. >> supervisor

the city is a part of the lawsuit directly and indirectly through the tjpa. it wouldn't surprise me if some of the people here are lawyers involved in the case. the doctor may need to be measured in part of his responses, and there has been a substantial mediation process that's been underway that's been ordered by the judge, and there was a mediation privilege in connection with a number of the mediation presentations and the like. so i would ask your understanding with regard to those issues, should any come up. the doctor recently gave a full day of deposition testimony. i expect that -- and i'll stand a ways away from me so i can't kick me when i say this. i don't think that'll be the last day. unfortunately he has more days of deposition in his future. there's a protective order that's in place by the court about certain information in the case and the like, so we just want to be respectful of this committee and the board and careful in our responses. the only other thing i'd just mention for the record is we did produce two documents, one of which you'v
