mike tobin is live from chicago. mike, doing the research that needs to be done?d to do some field research at mcdonald's. you know, jenna, with the current happy meal parents or kids have had the option of choosing french fries or apples. only 11% of the consumers were actually choosing the apples. so by april nationwide when someone buys a happy meal, they'll get both a half order of apples and a half order of french fries. fewer fries means less fat. also the option of produce is going to be presented to kids each time they clamor for that toy that will still be very much a part of every happy meal. now, in some parts of the country there will be different vegetable and fruit options depending on the season and region, but overall the fast food giant is rolling back portions, calories, saturated fats and sugars, particularly in those happy meals. >> this change, along with the introduction of a new child-sized fry, represents about a 20% reduction in calories in our most popular happy meals. >> reporter: now, mcdonald's says this health kick is not buckling to
