i have known todd and kevin for a few years now and have worked with them on other projects. what they have consistently prevented -- presented to you in the past, as they have with this project, are good designs that really meet housing needs in our neighborhood and other neighborhoods around the city. i frankly in listening to the dr requestors feel they are disingenuous. they are basically saying they would like to micromanage this design to their specifications at the expense of pot and kevin moving this project forward. -- of todd and kevin moving this project forward. they have been over backwards to be reasonable. there are things they have done to accommodate neighbors' concerns. keep in mind they have remained within the code for everything they are doing. there is nothing unusual about this project. i took a walk around this neighborhood recently to refresh things in my mind. i notice there is a mishmash of building styles around here. it is not all victorian or arts and crafts. it is a mishmash, including a number of '60s buildings. this is a building at the end of

say you want todd remodel it you have to go to planning and say, are we permit todd have a take out restaurant in this location or a fast food restaurant in this location? the planning department and redevelopment and port and others have very, very specific regulations it's almost block by block. have you to bring into the planning department your address so they can look it up on the zoning map to see what you are permitted to have. before you get further involvement in a restaurant the first thing you have to do is see if it's allowed in this location. in many cases you will need to get a conditional use or other authorization which takes months and expensive and can be a deal killer right there. all these other agencies are involved the fire department are involved they are involved in assembly occupancies with an occupant load of 50 or more. the building department looks at construction reasonable doubted things the fire department looks at fire and life safety regarding exiting and sprinklers. health department is involved and permitting and inspection. the entertainment commission, this

our chief white house correspondent chuck todd here to unveil the numbers for us.ome. >> thank you, brian. what a move tomorrow. it's the two-year anniversary since obama took office. his job approval rating now sitting at 53%. this is the highest level it's been since july, 2009, the month before the health care debate took off and served as a drag for 18 straight months. now, three reasons why this number jumped up. number one, the president's handling of tucson. 74% approve of that and a lot had to do with the speech that he gave. number two, simple optimism about the economy and the future of america. 53% say over the next five years, things are going to get better. six months ago, it was 20 points lower. and then finally, how the president handled the lame duck congress. 55% believe the president is going to strike the right balance in dealing with republicans. but 55% believe the republicans are going to be too inflexible in dealing with the president. as our pollsters put it this morning, brian, going into the state of the union, the public is giving the pre
