todd: you have to stick to what you are good at.here is a tension between what is interesting and what's actionable. the actionable is the investment bank companies that go to 10 or 12 of your closest friends and you get a chaperoned dinner and a couple of hours with management. we found we are not very good at the actionable without angles or a perspective. we will spend a ton on interesting. some of the deals that i've been involved with, and for us, it is worth that pay off. in environment like this, it's more important to figure out what your strategy is and build your ecosystem. you invest in your ecosystem. and you curate that ecosystem and then you take your time and find the things where you have a differentiating angle and the deals we have filled out our portfolio with have been consistent with what we're trying to do, even as the world has gotten more competitive. jason: one area where it has gotten competitive is technology. seven of the last 10 deals from last year. this is a space you played in. can you continue to be

todd: i think we can be very competitive. we have an excellent team there.n fact, a lot of our activity has been there. if you think about technology, you have to go to the sub segments. just thinking about cybersecurity. for example two crimes people , fear identity and computers being hacked. this is important and it's becoming more so. we've been focused on that for years. we got a series of smaller investments for our growth fund that have helped us understand what the landscape is. and after years of knocking on the door, we have now taken mcafee in partnership with the parent company in tell. -- was a parent company intel, in what was a proprietary dialogue and we are totally convinced that we can take it to the next level. we have an ecosystem for it. we have a specific plan. it was not the competitive process. again, it's the importance of focusing ahead of time. content media, our investments in caa, our investment in cirque du soleil, these are the results of years of working in what we think of as different segments of technology where we can have

joining us for insight is moderator of "meet the press," chuck todd.rning. >> good morning, rosemary. >> it's a week of the president sending messages, firing missiles in syria, and dropping a bomb, and then a muted response last night to the missile test. is the president trying a tempered response? what is going on here? >> i think there's a lot of ways to interpret it, and one of the interpretations from the "new york times" is it's possible the u.s. had more involvement in the missile launch failure than people might realize. if you look at the report this morning in the "new york times," and there has been a lot of -- we had our own reporting over this during the last couple of years, and infiltrating north korea in a silent way to interrupt their arsenal and do so in a sub versive way. as "the times" notes, there are more launch failures in the three or last four years since this program got ramped up. there's evidence that perhaps, we helped them fail in this launch on this front. i think that may partially explain the muted response. and vice p

scott martin and todd horowitz.did a survey of fund managers, 83% of them say that stocks in america are overvalued. scott martin, what do you say to that? >> this is stuff i love to see, stuart. these surveys come out from time to time and ironically they've predicted about 10 of the last two market corrections, if you get my drift. this is a typical sentiment indicator, when the markets are said to be overvalued and can't be more upside, i like the numbers if you're in skoks here. stuart: todd horowitz, you're a long time bear. you believe a correction, and some are overvalued? >> i think it's probably realistic, they're starting to move some of the stocks out, looking for more defensive names and i think that's why i expect they're overvalued and obviously i agree with them, i think we're significantly overvalued here, without growth, without real good things, the 4% we were promised, no tax plan, a lot of things indicating the market is near at least a short-term correction. stuart: one thing that is keeping the
