we are at the intersection of todd road and moreland. if you take a look down todd road, it's closed. this is the start of the road closure. if you look half a mile down, you can see flashing lights. a number of law enforcement vehicles have been on scene all morning. they continue to be, as this investigation continues. i have been told that law enforcement is investigating several locations, and we received an update, as you mentioned, from the sonoma county sheriff's office within the last half hour confirming that deputies were involved in the shooting after being fired at by a suspect. now, this happened just past midnight. those deputies were responding to a person brandishing a rifle. deputies arrived and found the suspect, who then led them on a pursuit. during that pursuit, the suspect stopped and shot at the deputies and continued on with the pursuit. deputies returned fire, ultimately the suspect crashed the vehicle he was driving. now, as i mentioned, four deputies were injured, one with a gunshot wound to the leg, two with i
