"eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones is live at the scene in tacony now, todd. >> reporter: here's what we know around 3:20, when a nine year-old boy, and, and, when he was shot in the head, right here at the intersection of north street and torresdale avenue in the tacony neighborhood. fortunately as you mentioned he only suffered a grazed wound. we are told he lives right on the block and neighbors immediately gave him medical aid, 911 was called and nine year-old boy was rushed to children's hospital again with the gunshot wound to his head but we're told there was only a grazed wound and that the nine year-old boy was alert and talking when he was rush to the hospital this afternoon. as far as what led up to the shooting and exactly who the suspect or suspects are, right now investigators still on the scene here trying to figure that stuff out but again around 3:20 this afternoon a nine year-old boy was walking home when he was shot in the head, and fortunately it was only a grazed wound and taken to chop where right now he is expected to be in good condition. reporting live to

"eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones is live at central detectives. todd. >> reporter: and, chris, tonight each of the suspects faces two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of simple assault as well as other related charges. it was this surveillance video of some of the suspects that led to outrage and tips to police identifying who they are. on tuesday the district attorney's office announced three people, all from bucks county, will be charged. they include 24-year-old philip williams of warminster, 26-year-old kevin harrigan of what are continue ton and 24-year-old katherine knot. she's the daughter of chalfont police chief carl knot a group of people attacked them as they used antigay slurs. the attack happened on 16th street south of walnut. the beating left one man hospitalized with his jaw wired shut. outrage on social media web sites led to the identities of the people in the video but police say it took some time to sort out which ones should be charged. >> not everyone was involved in there situation. so, it's one of those things of

"eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones is at central detectives with more, todd? >> reporter: chris, detectives tell me that they have been in direct contact with some of these attorneys for the suspects and that detectives here are expecting some of those suspects at some point today to come in here and make a formal statement. sources tell "eyewitness news" that the suspects in this case have ties to bucks county, and many went to the same high school. shortly after this clear surveillance video was released, the tips started to flowing into police. video show a group of a dozen young men and women walking through center city just minutes before a brutal attack. before the attack some of the suspects were together, at a center city restaurant where this picture was taken. picture was then circulated on social media and that led to cyber spoofs helping, identify suspects for police but now the restaurant faced backlash on social media and an employee says that is very unfair. >> we have had nothing to to with it. first of all. second of all, we're not withholding

"eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones is live at central detective where the suspects surrendered today, todd. >> reporter: defense attorneys are arguing this was more of a mutual fight, and that it had nothing to to with anyone's sexual orientation. but those are points as you can imagine that the victim very strenuously disputes. twenty-four year-old philip williams turn himself into central detective this morning as did 24 year-old catherine knott and 26 year-old kevin harrigan. all three are from bucks county, police alleged that the three were a the aggressors in the group seen on surveillance video minutes before the attack of the gay couple in center city nearly two weeks ago. >> with respect to my client, he was not the agreeser, he did not initiate anything, only became involve in the incident after one of the reported victims in the case publicched one of the young girls in the face. >> reporter: knott, a neighbor confirms is daughter of karl knott, her attorney denied that she did anything criminally wrong. >> i represent a young woman who has never been in trouble. she

"eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones has more. >> scary scenario for students?e found several students walking and talking on their cells right at the same spots where the robberies occurred even after the university of delaware sent out emails to student warning them, sophomore victoria long was home when she received the alert. >> little nerve wracking. my parents were there when i received the alert. so my dad was a little nervous about sending me back. >> both armed robberies happened just off campus. a gunman approached two students from behind, on south college avenue, near winslow road, 7:30 saturday night. he showed them a gun, forced the students to hand over their cell phones, then took off. then, on sunday, at 2:30 in the afternoon on tyree avenue near main street, a third student was also robbed in a similar fashion. non-students also worried? somebody robbing people at gunpoint, i'm just like okay, wow. >> fire robberies off campus, students said the university, regularly alerts them to crime. >> just great but never hear follow up. if they caught a

they told their story to "eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones. >> both of victims tell me policen them surveillance pictures of the men and women who attack them, police right now are working to identify who those suspects are. one of the victims beaten so badly he had to be hospitalized. and his jaw wired shut. both of the victims agreed speak to us on conditions we would not reveal their identity or show their faces. >> just started pomeling me, and knocked me to the ground, and i had hit the ground hard and i was out. >> with large cut and bruises to his face and his jaw, wired shut, due to severe on at that time fractures, the 28 year old victim, that is 26 year old boy friend, were both determined to tell their store. >> i we want to find these people. we don't want this to ever happen to anybody else again. >> thursday might when the two men were walking near 16th and chancellor streets, just south of walnut st. in center city. it was just before 11:00 when they say group before 12 people, men and women, who were right, well dressed in early 20's, randomly confronted them.
