"eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones, joins us now at the federal courthouse in center city with the very latest, todd? >> reporter: erika, in federal court here this morning, the suspect, delvin barnes, tried to offer up an explanation, as to why he randomly kidnapped a woman right off a philadelphia street. >> chilling surveillance video captured the 22 year old woman walking on coulter street in germantown, the november kidnapping, led to all-out manhunt, that tracked suspect delvin barnes to a maryland parking lot, where the victim was rescued. this morning if federal court, barnes pled guilty to one count of kidnapping. he told the judge, the abduction started out as a robbery, but adding he panicked. the 38 year old said he was desperate, that he ran out of money and was trying to get to virginia, to see his daughter one last time before turning himself into authorities there. the 38 year old accused of kidnapping, raping, assaulting 16 year old girl about a month before abducting his second victim in philadelphia. the investigation also revealed, he sexually exploited the 2
