we had all day yesterday toic enjoy the weather. what a mild start to the new year it has been. january, the first week of january, just about in the books. 11 1/2 degrees, warmer than average, for the first six days of themonth. we've been warmer than average 25 days in a row now, stretching tall way baco middle parts of december. and january, for a change, a little below average in rainfall. there's a couple of chances for rain coming our way,. thou one late tonight. one late in the day tomorrow. and then, we're going to have keep a close eye on saturday night into sunday morning. maybe a little chance for some snow. certainly something worth keeping an eye on. right now, nothing to worry about around the i-95id co. it's dry this morning. skies are becoming mostly cl dy. temperatures are below freezing in the shenandoahvalley. there could be a stray shower along i-81. you'll notice the change. it's colder today than yesterday. 4:00 a.m. temperatures, 5 to 15 degrees colder. and our afternoonl highs w be 10 to 15 degrees colder than yesterday's, we'll call it balmy, 57 degrees.

and i think we need to, as a leader in that, and as san francisco has been in the past, we need toicge, and unlike, you know, some of our leaders on the federal level, i think we have unanimous level here at the local level is the biggest threat to human beings that we're going to be facing in the decades to come. and when we're talking about solutions to climate change, we have to be thinking at initiatives that are bigger and bould bolder that we've really thought heretofore. while we're really good on this board of supervisors really good on smaller policies like banning plastic straws and hastening the process for new electric vehicle chargers, all of which i completely support and are very important, this is not the level at which we need to be acting to really make an impact around climate change. the one program we have in the city that is big enough and bold enough to make that level of impact that we need to make is cleanpowersf, and we are doing -- the p.u.c. is doing a great job in running this program, but we really need to take it to the next level, and that next level i
