in tokyo the nikkei average ended a three-week low falling nearly 1%.ustralian shares shed about a half percent. in main land china, the shanghai edged down 0.1%. the downside was supported by the news on china's relatively stable cpi. the yen is trading higher against the dollar and the euro due to concerns about u.s. budget issues and uncertainties over fresh assistance for greece. the dollar now changing hands at 79.23 to 25 yen. the euro currently at 1.27 to 75 yen. >>> china's industrial productions in sales picked up in october. the latest data shows the country's economy has started getting traction again. china's national bureau of statistics says industrial out put climbed over 9% from a year earlier. it was the second straight month of gainless. the pace of growth was 0.4% faster than in september. meanwhile retail sales were up more than 14%. the increase was 0.3% more than in the previous month. earlier in the day china announced that the consumer price index or cpi rose 1.7% from a year earlier. that's the slowest pace since january 2010. o

in tokyo, 42 millimeters was reported in a one-hour span. now up towards hokkaido and the southern portions of hokkaido, 95 kilometer-per-hour winds was also recorded, so it shows the strong strength of this storm. now as it pushes off towards the east, hokkaido, you're expecting it to continue to linger throughout the remainder of the workweek. good news is that off towards the west and western japan, even across korea, we have this high pressure starting to work its way in. that's going to be bringing much fairer weather across much of the area. temperatures are going to be shaping up like this, though. beijing with a high of 11, chongqing at 14, and over here towards tokyo getting into the low 20s. now, looking at europe, we are watching a low-pressure that is moving across italy here, some windy conditions for you, but also a little bit farther towards the east, we have this frontal area which is pushing off towards the back black sea, already into the balkans. this has been bringing some very heavy rains and even flooding conditions. i

share prices are little changed in tokyo on wednesday morning. the nikkei index now stands at 8,660. that's just down .38 points. some investors are buying back recent decliners and many are staying on the sidelines as there are few incentives for active trading. other markets in the asia pacific region kospi is down 4/10 of a percent and australia, the benchmark index up about 2/10 of a percent, changing hands now at 4,387. >>> major japanese retailer eon says it will reopen the supermarket in chen tau this month after an attack by an anti-japan protesters. it was shut down in september after being destroyed by protesters who opposed the nationalization of the senkaku islands. the president said the store will fully reopen on november 24th. it had partially resumed operations early last month. he added aon attempts to develop a stronger relationship with consumers by making more contributions to local communities. they say sales have 235u8 len 12% since the protests began. that is all for me. for now. i will leave you with the market figures. >>

tokyo looking for 16. single digits in seoul. six degrees here, ten in beijing and minus six for the high in ulan bator. a quick look into the americas tells us things are looking very clear here across much of the center of the continent. in fact, mexico right through central canada. however, our low pressure, the system that's been pushing into the pacific northwest still seeing showers, coastal rain and mountain snow. that is actually starting to settle down. out east we have this long front which has been bringing showers all the way down to the gulf of mexico. it's going to be bringing you, in fact, some snowshowers in parts of new york state, pennsylvania, up into new england new england. but it's not going to be accumulating. it's not going to lie. just a few light snowshowers. temperatures will drop dramatically but should rebound by the end of the week. we'll have high pressure moving in. things will be nice and clear for you into the weekend. a quick look into europe before we go. things are settling down in the center

let's start by taking a look at stocks here in tokyo. they are trading lower on tuesday morning as investors hold pack from active trading ahead of the presidential election. the nikkei is at 8,970 that's down about 37 points from monday's close. as i said many investors are keeping an eye on upcoming corporate earnings reports for the half year through september. shares of panasonic and sharp are trading lower again. take a look at tokyo for an exchange. trading is limited ahead of tuesday's u.s. presidential election. a dollar yen is right now trading at 80.17 to 19 and the eu euro/yen stands at 102.55 to 57. analysts say investors buying yen after gains by the dollar last week on favorable data. south korea's kospi is up. in australia the index is trading higher about a quarter percent. chinese officials are open to second front in their solar power world with the european union. they filed a complaint with the world trade organization. china's commercial ministry says their unfairly supporting solar power equipment makers. it has ser
