just heard from state assemblyman tom ammiano.ernor get the tax extensions on the ballot in time? it's going down to the wire. now, i figure they have until about until tuesday to secure the support from the republicans, then he'd have to move to get two state senators and two assembly members from the republicans to stand up and actually say we will put these tax extension tons ballot. get the democrats to join in, then they'll let the voters decide. here is the real trick: it's a question of timing. as we've talked about, putting these extensions on has to be done within this week. the reason is pretty simple. because they've got to get on the ballot in june, because those tax extensions run out in july. and if you don't get them on the ballot by june, then what you're actually doing is asking people for a new tax. >>> then tom ammiano was here talking about the fact there's no statute saying it has to be done this week. >> there is not a statute but the secretary of state's office tells us that certain things have to be accompl
