joining me is tom bradley of britain's itv news. you did the only interview with the couple.hat beautiful dress. she had on the ring. then they sat down and they spoke with you. that was about five months ago. you were there in the abbey this morning for the wedding. >> yeah. >> did you notice any sort of a transformation in them as a couple in between those two very important moments in their lives? >> no. i think they -- she was very nervous when they did that interview because no one had heard her speak before. she knew hundreds of millions would watch it. they were both pretty -- they knew that people would probably make up their minds on what they thought about her on what they heard. so she was very nervous. what i have seen is that she's grown in confidence a lot. she's done a few public appearances between then. it must be pretty -- we all got wedding day nerves. it's not -- but at the end of the day when you do it in front of millions of people, it's really quite tricky. she looked really happy, very relaxed. >> she did look relaxed. i'm starting to sound lickke a br

tom bradley is the only person to interview william and kate together after their engagement. m, good morning to you. >> good morning. >> what do you make of the poll that suggests most people in britain aren't interested or excited about this wedding? do you take it with a grain of salt? >> it was always like this. it was like it with the golden jubilee. everyone says it's not a big deal. we like to be cynical about it and then come the big day -- i mean on the golden jubilee, everybody was cynical and it was millions and millions of people. everyone got teary singing "god save the queen." we are conflicted. we think they do a good job. we don't like politicians. i don't think anyone is much keen on a change, but we have the attitude like those overseas, that's for sure. >> most see william and kate as a modern couple. what makes them the right couple to take the monarchy into the next century? >> i think in history, reluctant monarchs tended to do the job quite well. it's often billed as the middle class meets the monarchy. i think that's true. not just from her point of view
