it's republican senator tom cole from oklahoma. congressman, excuse me. i want to get your reaction to what the supreme court just handed us wiping out the executive action on immigration by the president and then the president's reaction to that. i would like you to weigh in. >> i certainly am pleased that the president's executive action was not affirmed. to me this is just as much a constitutional question as it is an immigration question. president lost both lower court decisions and there is no question that justice scalia had been alive he would have lost this decision. i think this also shows that probably leader mcconnell was wise when he said let's let american people have a vote in this. we are fortunate we didn't see expansion of presidential power and hopefully in the fall we have the kind of election where the executive is kept in check. >> congressman, the issue here is that you are supposed to be that american voice and it has been stymied over and over and over again in our houses of congress. the president saying his executive action was
