defense attorney tom durkin stood next to the father of the accused 18 year-old at federal court the teenager born in chicago and raised in suburban hillside is accused of attempting to set off a phony car bomb outside a downtown chicago bar on friday night the phony bomb into detonation device given to him by undercover fbi agents posing as terrorists. this doesn't smell like a terrorism plot it seems like there's something wrong with this. the fbi said they contacted him in october last year when he was 17 after he posted on a radical islamic website that's when undercover agents began their work that he says led the impression that teendurkin says led the teenager down an impressionable path. i find it rather astounding that the government would play that card that a government agent posing as a terrorist would claim he was advocating this kind of violence when he knew full well that this young man locally told him that that type of rhetoric was improper and not consistent with islam. the teenager with his bushy black hair orange face and jumpsuit did not talk in court today only
