supporters try to help thousands of student stay in their virtual classrooms. 13 action news reporter tom george has the latest. now the nevada connections academy says theyve been going school board for months trying to figure out a solution. they say this lawsuit is a last resort to fight to keep their school open. the problem started when charter school authority considered a notice of closure because the graduation rate was below the 60 percent requirement... the school says thats because they include many students who struggle in public school and need longer to graduate.. the school presented an improvment plan. but officials say the charter school board tried to get the schoolto waive their right to have courts review it... which is why they filed suit... 3,000 students, but to protect a fundamental, constitutional right to have access to the courts. meanwhile, students say the school gives them an option they didnt have anywhere else... a chance to work at their own pace.... do not shut this school down, its my only option and youre also letting down some other students at the same time
