good evening, new hampshire, i'm tom griffith. jennifer: i'm jennifer vaughn. school officials and police wanted to make sure parents knew their children were safe so they canceled classes. heather hamel has the latest on this. reporter: the nashua police chief is remaining tight-lipped about what that e-mail said, exactly what that threaten tailed. however he says after a day's both of of investigating and looking through the school with a fine tooth comb he no longer believes that is there a credible threat in any of nashua public schools. this comes after 24 hours after the superintendent of schools would come to students specifically targeting the two high schools. the superintendent says the safety comes first and due to the concern for parents and the high probability that there would be a high amount of absentees, he decided to shut down all the public schools in the city. since that decision was made the f.b.i. was called in, efforts have been made to find the person responsible and they have done checks of doors and windows at all of the schools and ch

good evening, i' m tom griffith. the question is how much snow could we see and will it switch over to ice as the day goes on? meteorologist josh judge is here with the latest track on this storm. josh: we will answer that first question first, how much snow could we see? it' falling quite soon. the season so far has mostly been a bust. we are about to change that with numbers like these. 3-6 inches expected in southeast new hampshire and southern new hampshire as well. higher amounts from the northern part of the lakes region and the mount washington valley up into northern new hampshire. there' s a winter storm warning in effect in the northern half weather advisory or the rest of new hampshire. if you look at the radar looks like it is snowing already but most of that is evaporating before it reaches the ground and very dry air. we are only 1-2 hours away from the first flakes falling in new hampshire making it to the ground. cold out there now with overnight lows bottoming out in the teens, perfect cold weather f

tom: i' m tom griffith. after checking every school building today, police say it is safe for parents to send their children back. wmur' s mike cronin joins us live from nashua high school north with reaction from parents and investigators. mike there will be an increased : police presence here tomorrow and at other schools in the city. police aren' t saying what specifically was in the email threat but they' re confident schools are safe. luz rodriguez admits she' s scared to send her 4th grade daughter and two other children back to school. >> you know i was on the fence about sending them, but it' s like vacation week too and they have a few days off so i will be sending them tomorrow. mike: this man feels it' s safe >> we got a call this evening from the principal that and we got a confirmation from the police department. mike: the doors will reopen at schools across nashua tuesday after an email threat was sent to the district over the weekend. officials say the threat was specific to the city' schools,

live looks right now in portsmouth. m tom griffith. the question is when will the storm move out and how much snow did we get? let' s head right over to meteorologist josh judge to find out. s mostly over but still and snow in northern new hampshire. let' s look at some of those numbers here and see what' s left. stratham about six inches, hampton beach -- hampton beach sutton and over. in brentwood and concord, the state' s official number, 4.2 inches. the winter weather advisory still in effect for some parts of the state of north. it has expired in central and southern new hampshire. it can see the heaviest snow even in northern new hampshire winding down but it will be intermittent with a few snow showers at times. we are seeing freezing drizzle out there and a few more flurries but no more northern new hampshire. here are the overnight lows, and we could see more ice in the morning because it has not warmed up one iota. more eyes from the freezing drizzle that been falling in making a thin layer of ice. s eve as well. better right

good evening, i' m tom griffith. a terrifying story tonight. the young man says he came home on saturday night and found the 3 men in his home. wmur' s suzanne roantree spoke to the victim and joins us live from the durham police department. suzanne: it was just before 10:30 on saturday night when brian hochberg returned to his madbury court rental house -his roommates were out for the evening, so he thought the house was empty, but once he got inside he realized that wasn' t the case. >> he was acosted by three men who were armed with hand guns they were wearing masks and dark clothing. hochberg found the 3 suspects running up the basement stairs with their guns pointed at him, and for the next forty minutes the 3 armed robbers kept hochberg close by as they filled their backs. >> they started leading me they' d kick in the door one of put me on the ground as the other two were just ransacking the rooms taking anything expensive, of value. suzanne five of the six bedrooms : in the house had their doors kicked in, the rooms left in chaos. >> al
