tom qualley is the ceo of sovereign select, and independent insurance agency, so if you have questions you want the truth is it doesn't cost you anything. which probably surprises people. is that true or false? >> you would be surprised how many people try to pay us at the end of the meeting we just say no. like i'm going to tear this up. >> because you're paid by the insurance companies, but the wonderful thing is how many products you represent. it's not just one size fits all. >> exactly. so there is like 30 plus companies that we represent and, you know it's really nice to be able to offer products like that makes us very unbias as far as what we're offering and just being able to shop around every year. again they pay us so when a person or when we fit a product to a person's needs then that's company is the one that pays us. >> it's all about getting the right coverage at best price. let's talk about this important date, october 15 it's medicare's annual open enrollment period. if you are on medicare, or if you are quickly approaching that age this is an important date >> october

tom qualley is here to chat about open enrollment which starts on saturday. >> that's a good comparison. open enrollment to black friday. >> this is the time right? >> it really is. >> it's a big deal, people wait for this anticipate it, get nervous, but it is coming up on saturday. what does that mean for people on medicare or new to it? >> what is reallyoo open enrollment it really is a law that people can, people should and can take advantage of every single year for 7 weeks. >> uh-huh. >> from october 15 to december 7. people that have their medicare supplement, their medicare advantage plan, or their part d prescription drug plan can go shop around, call sovereign select that's the best way to shop around, call sovereign select shop around to different medicare advantage plans and part d prescription drug plans there something i can do to put me in a better situation than i am now. >> that's the big deal that's why it is like black friday. are you saving so much money potentially just by changing where you get the same benefit. how often do you see that people are truly saving cash
