plus pvh is very big in europe where their tommy hilfiger brand is having a huge, huge quarter, 9% increasen same-store european sales. they raised its full-year earnings guidance making bullish comments about the future. let's check in with the chairman and ceo of pvh, welcome back to "mad money." >> good to see you. >> good to see you. back-to-school season looking a little better than people think. >> second quarter was really strong. you hit some of the high points but internationally in particular, and as we're getting into the second quarter, internationally the business continues, both calvin and tommy very strong. >> okay. how much of that is completed? more integration for calvin. and how much is it you got the right stuff and the whole continent is turning? >> calvin klein jeans and underwear business drove business. the underwear business is completely on fire, both men's and women's, and we're seeing a strong turnaround in denim all around our new calvin klein product initiative, a lot of our marketing that we're focused on. so we're getting the benefits of that. >> let's about

i was at tommy hilfiger, the vice president of creative services. the company got taken over and they made changes. i had a chance to pursue my dreams. i was excited to do it. ernie: wendy, are you happy you did it and what you are -- what are you doing? >> i'm very happy. i'm working two days a week for the volunteers for wildlife in locust valley, new york, a rehab facility for injured or orphaned animals. ernie: it's going well? >> great. i'm doing special projects for the marfan foundation in port washington. ernie: you're happy and successful. george, you've got a ton of things going on from books to everything else. >> i do. i had performed when i was younger. hi a whole -- i are a whole career of fashion. i have a web series that won an award. i loved being in front of the camera and helping people to feel good about themselves, which is what my book is about, change your clothes, change your life. ernie: you're doing it all. >> i love it. i feel energized every day. ernie: we're talking about branding. is it easier today with the social medi

i don't think we'll influence the bangladeshi government but if we can influence tommy hilfige reand other companies that have gone to bangladesh to make their clothes, that's the pressure point, and it's very dangerous for journalists in those countries sometimes to tell the truth, and you see journalists killed in mexico on a routine basis, who try to tell the truth about the drug cartels and certainly in the middle east and don't forget, americans who were killed, murdered by isis, tried to report on what was happening in syria. so it can be very, very dangero dangerous. i remember every single day i wake up what a great country we're in, where journalists are free for the most part to tell the truth and to not face the kind of retaliation they do elsewhere. it's a tough environment. we live in a country with a great first amendment that protects us and for those who don't use it to the full advantage, shame on them in terms of journalists in this country. >> good morning, eric friedman with montgomery county consumer protection office. we as consumers love hidden camera stories.
