driver of the suv, but i also want to tell you here that the sergeant on scene, they have confirmed toney a 19-year-old man was killed in this crash here. he was a passenger inside this stolen suv you're looking at right now. it was being chased this morning by chp officers. the suv was packed with eight people inside, coming down this hill when the driver lost control and slammed into a tree. here was the scene around 3:30 this morning here on the drive in oakland. paramedics transported six passengers with various injuries. one of them later died. the pursue all began when police tried topping this suv when the driver of the suv took off. chp officers picked up the pursuit on the freeway in oakland. it's unclear if alcohol was involved here, but the sergeant tells me that this suv was going dangerously fast. >> when you take these extreme measures to avoid one crime, you just multiply that and you do jeopardize the safety and lives of everybody else on the street. if there is somebody else on out here walking a dog or, you know, pulling out, taking their kids to the babysitter and at th
