tony hernandez, he and his family immigrated from cuba in the 1960s. halle ib hi ibrahim moved to th. when he was 15. and anna moved here when she was 15 from the philippines. tony, you interviewed hundreds of immigrants, and has the american dream changed in the last few decades? >> i don't think that the american dream has changed so much. the american dream means something different for everyone. it means striking it rich. based on over 1,000 interview that's i have conducted, that tends to be the minority. the majority of the people are simply coming here for the opportunity to live a better life. in the case of my parents, it was a chance to not live in a communist country. to be able to pursue their dreams, not necessarily tied to material goods. where i think that the story changes so much, when my parents arrived here in the 60s, we moved to new jersey, and there were blue collar jobs everywhere. my father said, if i lost one job, i would find another one before i arrived home. that's no longer the case. so for immigrants with limited education,
