incredible hunger drive and we thought we were going to raise 1 million meals and that was when tony robbins decided to match it and make it 2 million meres so thank you for participating in our drive against hunger. [applause] when we started this company we wanted to try a new technology model, cloud computing, trying to create a new business model, software as a suspension, but we recognize we didn't want to have this incredible product and industry success when we knew as we proceeded on we wanted to have great fulfillment and great satisfaction and we knew that was only going to come from giving back the scale. that's why on the first day of sales force we took 1% of our time, 1% of our equity and 1% of all our products and said we were going to give them back. that's paid out way more than we expected in 23,000 non profit organizations. my favorite moment in dream force right now is you are with a non profit mco, stand up an be recognized! leaders but we also have the world economic forum the founder and inspirational speakers like tony robbinsrieshnical like mark andreessen. we are so excited you will be interviewing marc. >> i get an hour with him on stage. we have over 2000 customers speaking. >> how much does dream force impact the bottom line? what the salesforce get out of this other than marketing? >> it's a huge investment for us, our community. this is the place to be in the gathering to learn what's next in technology, to inspire, to motivate and give back. that is so much of what we do at salesforce and it's an opportunity for all of us to give back. each day we have a focus on giving back. monday is all about fighting hunger to we will raise one million meals and we want the whole community to come out and help us with that. on tuesday it's about children's education and children health. we have the bruno mars benefit concert and we've already raised money to benefit children's health and we have that's coming to dream force on sunday hope elping that's transition back to civilian life. >> there's been so much go

but what is the difference between, you, you think, and a motivational speaker or tony robbins or some look that? >> i think, tony is a friend. they do great work. i think mine is based out of the scripture. i come from the point of view that god empowers you and equips you and puts the gift and talents on the inside. i come through it. from a, from a place of faith. >> from the scriptures. >> here's one that resonates for me. if you are going to the winner that you weriy theed to be you need to have a boldness. second quality is you run your race the way you rant to run it. you can't be insecure. you can't worry about what everyone thinks you can't try to keep everyone happy. if you change with every criticism and play up to peel trying to win their favor you will go through life letting people manipulate you and pressure you into their boxes. i live my life like that every day. and that's -- i think, more people than not are people pleasers. they want to please other people around them rather than themselves. >> it is an important. important principle. we all face it. down deep most
