tonya francisco is live at comer children's hospital in hyde park, where the young victims were taken. >> at last check the three and five year-old boys were listed in stable condition. one with a gunshot wound to the stomach, the other with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. cameras were rolling during this dramatic scene as the police officer scooped up the five year-old out of the arms of the adult and rushed him to an unmarked squad car and drove him to the hospital. he was later transferred here. as to what happened, police say around 8:00 p.m. a fifth year when year-old woman was carrying a five year- old boy in her arms while walking on east 78. shots rang out hitting the five year-old in the stomach. paramedics say the bullet traveled through his stomach and went through his lower back. the woman carrying him was hit in the left side she was rushed to northwestern in critical condition. it was not until later the police realized the five year-old was shot which is when the officer rushed into the hospital. police tell the tribune the don't believe the woman and the boy were the

tonya francisco joins us *live from the ninth district police station with more. >> the stepfather of the man killed wants to know why police would use excessive force against his stepson claiming he was shot eight times when he was only holding a knife. family members identified that man as a 21 year-old hector hernandez. they say he was the father of eight to year-old he was holding when police were called to his home around 545 yesterday. he had apparently been arguing with his girlfriend or his wife. not clear what the relationship is right now. but she apparently had an order of protection against him. hernandez was standing on the front steps of the home holding the child in one hand and a black bag in the other that he said had a gun inside. officers say he was threatening to use it to kill police. at some point hernandez went in the house, handed the child off and threaten to kill himself saying he was not going back to jail. the spokesman for the fraternal order of police says the officer tried to calm him down before firing. >> the third time he grabbed a butcher knife. a la

tonya francisco is live outside one of two offices where prosecutors say cameras were hidden. his career hangs in the balance this morning. he is free after posting 10% of his $75,000 bail. the prosecutors say the prominent eye surgeons secretly videotaped the least four female employees in the bathroom at his office one at the illinois masonic hospital and the other at the chicago eye institute in irving park between march 25th and april 2nd. a female employee here was the first to find the camera velcro inside of the toilet tank after using the bathroom and discovering a hole in the tank on april 2nd. police were called and found the marker disc also had images of another woman from the office and two other women in the locker room of the masonic office. we try to speak to someone who was an employee but the ran from our camera. a former patient who did not want to be identified says she was always somewhat ... they said he was creepy and made her feel uncomfortable. >> he made it to where he thought i was beautiful he said i was attractive. he gave me a hug when i left the
