i'm tori campbell. it's wednesday, may 30th. >>> an update now on developing news in oakland where firefighters are still on the scene of an early-morning house fire. this is what it looked like at 4:30 this morning when flames could be seen for miles coming from the home on martin luther king way near 28th street. ktvu's claudine wong tells us that the street remains shut down right now. good morning, claudine. >> reporter: good morning, tori. yes, there's still work to be done. firefighters are still out here. they've been inside this building taking a look at the damage and cleaning up and making sure that the situation in this building is secure before they leave the scene. the section of martin luther king, junior and 28th avenue where we are does remain shut down so they can do that work. buses have been rerouted. you can see there is obviously a lot of damage. firefighters were able to protect the surrounding building. we should say the fire did get a head start on the crews t was already out of

. >> i'm tori campbell. it's may 2nd. >>> police in riot gear arrested demonstrators who took over a church building on turk street during a may day protest. ktvu's claudine wong spoke to police moments ago. claudine? >> reporter: well, tori, let me give you a look at the situation right now on turk street. things are quieting down. san francisco police still positioned right in front of this building on turk and goth. they've been here all morning and all morning long and went in just before 5:00 a.m. to clear out that building from protesters. they made several arrests this morning, more than two dozen people taken from inside that building. we watched as people filed out one by one and were put into san francisco police vans after spending the night inside. we talked to one protester who was actually let go. he said everyone was pretty much asleep when police went in. they assumed they would be kicked out today but they didn't think it would happen until later this morning. we just talk to a san francisco

>> reporter: tori, we obtained the video at 9:00 a.m. from the city attorney's office here at city hall, released after a number over public records requests made by the media, including ktvu. the contents have been known for months. the district attorney's office released a transcript and still pictures that shows the sheriff's wife tearfully displaying a bruce he caused on december 31st. she says it is not the first time this has happened and she says she is making the video for use at a possible child custody fight. their attorneys have fought to prevent its use in his case and his current misconduct hearing. they have argued it is misleading and violates her rights to privacy, the courts have disagreed, here is an excerpt from the video. >> this happened yesterday and -- to -- 11 and this is such -- this is happening. and i said ross, i want to work on our marriage, we need help. i have been telling him we need help and just -- and i am going to use this just in case he wants to take you away from me. >> we caught up with one of the

i'm tori -- her daughter. good afternoon. i'm tori campbell. pleasanton police are investigating the death of a mother and a daughter shot in their home. christien kafton has more on this story. >> reporter: investigators are still trying to put together the pieces as to exactly what happened inside this pleasanton home yesterday afternoon. now, in just the last hour and a half, we received an update from pleasanton police. investigators are telling us, they are waiting on the results of an autopsy before coming to any conclusions. the police investigation began after a 911 call about a shooting on citicy court in pleasant -- stacy court in partly pleasanton. the 911 call came from the husband after he discovered the body inside the home. investigators say he's not a suspect in this case, that he's been very cooperative with investigators and is distraught over the deaths. earlier police had indicated they were not looking for any suspects which could include to the conclusion this was a -- lead to the conclusion this was a murder suicide. they
