james torres has the story. this is the aids life cycle ride. more than 1400 people are involved together, raising more than $11.7 million toward aids research. from the parking lot of cow palace in daly city. feet pushed the pedals. it means a lot that the community comes out to support this event, an event part of the bay area for nearly 30 years. a more than 500 mile bike ride to los angeles. each person riding, raising thousands of dollars for aids research and resources as a person living with hiv, myself. this is a very personal cause and i know that every dollar is making a world of difference in the lives of those we serve. dr. tyler tamir is the executive director of the sf aids foundation. his agency partners with the lgbt center in los angeles to put the ride together. it's wonderful that we can raise visibility between san francisco all the way down to l.a. about the fact that hiv and aids is still a crisis facing our communities. this man from la says it's his seventh trip. a bike ride is a great way to raise awareness and to help e
