i'm james torres, ktvu fox two news. james, thank you. now to new video that shows two good samaritan stopping an attempted carjacking in oakland. this is what happened last month on piedmont avenue. we see a man returning to his car who was approached by two men in sweatshirts. they take the keys out of his hand as they go back to the car. two people intervene . the would be carjackers, then drive away without taking the victim's car. the good samaritans reportedly work at a karate school right across the street. all right. new this morning, another person in san jose has been hit and killed by a vehicle. police say it happened just before 330 this morning on north jackson avenue, not far from alum rock avenue. we're told the pedestrian was a man and the driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene and spoke with police. this is the second person in san jose hit and killed by a car in just 24 hours. the other happened yesterday morning right around six. another person was hit and killed in a crash in the willow glen neighborhood. the

as ktvu's james torres tells us. now the race starts right outside oracle park and the route actually takes you inside the ballpark. we. do one. this year's giant race is full of runners who've never ran the course before. for as you age, you know, it's time to start getting off the couch. zahrade starting just outside oracle park. the race either a5k or ten k takes you along the embarcadero, then inside the ballpark. a lot of fun. you know, a lot of good perks at the end and just good people, good vibes. it took 15 minutes for the first runners to finish the race. the first woman part of a team called the alaska airlines all-stars. i've been a professional runner the last five years. the race emphasized a focus on mental health and awareness, as well as promoting women and girls in sports. it's why the all stars are made up of olympic and professional female runners. this is an incredible experience to finish in the stadium. i think it was my favorite finish line that i've ever run in my running career. for sure. th
