nice view as we look to the east over the bay bridge from salesforce tower.ty of sunshine throughout the rest of the week after another day of near normal temperatures tomorrow, we're above normal beginning on wednesday and continuing thursday and friday. it's still going to be breezy and cool at the coast, so this is going to be a warming trend noticeable around the bay but really settles in farther inland. and then the weekend, cool and even wet. the can marks indicate our uncertainty about the exact specifics of that weather pattern that shapes up this weekend but signs continue to point to a decent chance of early may showers. switching perspective, clear skies over the santa clara valley. looking good in san jose, where the temperature is 56 degrees. the middle ground of temperatures. anywhere from 52 in livermore to 58 degrees in concord. later on tonight those temperatures will drop down, as i mentioned earlier, we're not going to see fog to speak of tomorrow morning. temperatures start off about two to four degrees below normal, mostfully the 40s. des

bridge. from sutro tower, you can see out toward above the presidio and get the idea here. this is the marine layer. we talk about each and every day during the summertime months. it's a shallow marine layer, so where it is, it's locally chilly, but of course just a few miles away from this, we have temperatures warming up. here is the satellite picking up on that day, fog hanging out near portions of the coastline. as you can see, closer to san francisco, right around pacifica , out toward half moon bay as well. but lots of clear skies around the bay itself and also the inland neighborhoods. so right now, current numbers in the 70s for concord out toward fairfield, santa rosa, 70 degrees. but look at half moon bay with that fog presence having a big impact on their temperature, only 54 degrees. it is a quiet pattern over the next couple of days, but then another system that will bring cooler air and definitely some more rain back in the forecast. we'll have more on that coming up in just a little bit. >> thank you mark. now to big news in the world of sports. about one of

bridge. now, keep in mind the main tower at the golden gate bridge is 746ft tall.ud deck right now is at 800ft, and as it lowers tonight, overnight, it could obscure some visibility for the morning commute. otherwise with the clouds, the temperatures aren't as cold as it was 24 hours ago. at this time, it looks like pretty much the 50s across the board from santa rosa at 51 degrees. after topping off at 77 today, a pair of fives and palo alto and east palo alto across the board there, it's 54 degrees in oakland and in hayward. now you couple up the clouds with the breezy conditions. right now, napa at 13. we do have a wind at 12 at oakland international airport. you combine the two together and the result is again, it will not be as cold tonight as last night. and you could clearly see that we do have that marine layer. it is stacked up next to the seashore right here all the way up the mendocino coast. and this what you're looking at is the incoming trough behind it here is a lot of cold air mass. in fact, this right here is the core, the center of the area, low p

and here at the golden gate bridge, that tower stands about 746ft tall. ouds are at 1800 feet, so no obscurity as far as visibility is concerned. at the golden gate bridge, temperature wise, we're at 55 and half moon bay, high 50s, napa and sonoma. otherwise, our outside number right now is 65, in san jose, where mineta international airport is picking up a wind under ten. however, in mountain view, we have a wind gusts up to about 16 and 18. meanwhile, the winds are beginning to settle around the central bay at oakland international airport. but check out fairfield 29 mile per hour wind gusts. so it feels cold outside. plus the winds will continue to increase because of this right here. this is the trough. this is the front. and watch it slice through the bay area by 7:00 tonight. behind it gusty winds. that's when you'll see those wind gusts up to 35. so here comes the center the core of the area. low pressure just in time for the morning commute. see that wrap around counterclock wise rotation. that's where that core is sitting on top of the bay area al

now the main tower there stands 746ft tall at the golden gate bridge, and the clouds are not obscuring it, but it is mostly cloudy, and we do have plentiful rain showers filling back in around the bay area again. in fact, i'm picking up some snow at mount tamalpais. in the east bay we have snow that has fallen at mount diablo as well, and on the eastern foothills around the area picked up a thunderstorm just outside of tracy just about a half hour ago. got a little bit of a break around the sunnyvale area, but we have picked up snow in the mount hamilton area and then thunderstorms have been prominent anywhere between morgan hill and gilroy. it's raining around the peninsula, including san mateo bridge and the dumbarton bridge. now it's now 50, in santa rosa. i think that's about the highest temperature they have experienced all day long. the winds are still breezy and with those winds and the cold temperatures, it is raw outside. that area of low pressure is going to be out of here. but the core still causing a lot of instability, unsettled air mass. so that's what you can count on fo
