gregor townsend has made four changes to his squad, to face france on saturday.f proposed sports for the 2024 olympic games in paris. squash, snooker and karate are left out. the chancellor's next spring statement has been given a lift after the government recorded its largest january borrowing surplus last month. borrowing in the financial year to date stands at its lowest level in 18 years. let's have a closer look. the public sector finances registered their biggest surplus on record in january of £14.9 billion. that surplus was about £3 billion bigger than the city was expecting, and £5.6 billion bigger than the one in the previous january. our economics correspondent dharshini david explained to me a little earlier where the extra money came from. january normally is a very good month for tax receipts because it is the self—assessment deadline as many people know. what we did see was a bump of £21 billion, raised through corporation tax and self—assessment. that really is a sign of how well people were doing and companies the year before. what is this mean?
