westbound 580, tracy to dublin, 1 hour, 46 minutes so slowly starting to improve. we were a little bit over 2 hours at our worst point and that due to the emergency pothole repair at north flynn. southbound 680, dublin to mission boulevard, half hour right now, vehicle fire on that stretch and that has cleared in the last few minutes as well. northbound 85 between 101 and cupertino, wide open. in the green at 21 minutes. also a quick check of b.a.r.t. our earlier residual delays from that train that broke down cleared up and now we've got a new problem. the doors were not functioning correctly on another train at embarcadero station. that was in the east bay direction so we have a ten-minute delay as well there. sounds like everybody had to get off that train and now that train is being repaired so b.a.r.t. has had issues this morning too. we'll take a closer look at the bay bridge commute coming up. >>> pope francis has a message for all of us about what we do during a meal with our families. >>> plus here at the live desk, i continue tracking these live images of

>> reporter: tracy and vai, we're about 19 hours into this hostage standoff. what i can tell you, it's a little dark from our vantage point and we're a little far away. i'm going to show you a map of where we are down at the administration building. you can see the entire complex of the vaughn corrections facility where that building "c" is. and that's where all of the attention is focused at this hour. so, again, it is a little ways from where we are, but we have seen some activity just within the past few hours. take a look at some video, a little closer from the vantage point, but still quite a ways away. you also see light information the air. could have been a helicopter or perhaps some other equipment that they were using to try to aid in this search and to try to get these two officers rescued and out of that facility. but again, a lot is going on. a lot that we don't know at this point. they're being very mum about many of the details. just in case the folks inside that prison are listening and watching as it's going on. take a look at video from last

do you think that you have made progress, tracy?k that there's a small portion of progress being made but overall i don't think we've gone far enough, especially when we talk about black lives matter we talk about the context of i can't walk down the street or i can't walk away from the police with my hands up, i'm still getting shot in the back or i'm driving in my vehicle and my hands are on the dashboard and i still get killed in front of my child or i get choked out on the streets in front of a store. so those are -- when we speak of black lives matter, these are the lives being taken away in those instances and no other nationality is being taken away from us like that. so we know that all lives matter. but it's black lives that are being affected by the police brutality, by the just rash of all the killings that's going on. >> when you see what happens with police officers. and the difference is when people say crime happens in the black community. but police officers are sworn to uphold justice. they're supposed to be the one
