>> reporter: hi, tracy. a spokesperson for aria health tells us that two of their campuses are now treating about 75 patients here at the frankford campus as well as down the street at the torresdale campus. now our camera was rolling when about two dozen arrived here. most told doctors they were in the first three cars. we've also learned the patients are suffering from internal bleeding concussions and broken bones. i spoke to one amtrak passenger who suffered a broken leg. he told us he's in a lot of pain. he also said the derailment was frightening. it was very dark. you've got to think about this. at this point in the morning most of the passengers have been up all night long. they were expecting to arrive in new york about 10:30 or 11:00 and be back with their families but now they're in hospitals all across philadelphia. since our last report we've learned a total of 6 campuses are treating victims. a spokesperson from jefferson told us they're treating two patients in the e.r., two dozen others have

tracy, we're seeing the sun come up. we can get a clear look at just how expansive this wreckage is. >> reporter: we'll get a closer look and go back to "nbc 10's" matt delucia. we've been talking about those killed and those injured. there were some passengers who were able to escape safely and tell us what it was like. >> rolling along nice and smooft and smooth and all of a sudden we were on our side. we never flipped. we went on our side and back on our side. it felt like the brakes were hit hard and then like our car, we were third to the last. we started going over to the right. i braced my arm. it got off, yeah. >> reporter: now while some of the passengers we talked with were able to walk from the scene, others we've been telling you were injured and taken off in stretchers. more than 140 people that is the last number went to area hospitals. six of them are critically injured. we continue to get updated information. "nbc 10's" monique braxton is live at the hospitals. what do you know from where you are? >> repo

katy. >> reporter: hi, tracy. we heard from the president of amtrak who says regular service between philadelphia and new york could be restored as early as monday. there is some good news there but unfortunately until then the ripple effect continues. some good news however, from the derailment scene is that crews are making progress out there, from sky force 10 we saw them hauling in new sections of track yesterday. while they do not expect that stretch rail to be restored as i said until monday. amtrak announced regular service between boston and new york has been fully restored. from philadelphia south to washington, d.c. trains are still running on a modified schedule. that is expected to be restored also over the weekend hopefully by monday. septa's trenton line is also shut down because it shares rail tracks with amtrak's northeast extension. i talked to a septa spokesperson who tells me in the next half hour they will have employees along the west trenton line helping travelers navigate the changes. coming
