i'm tracy davidson. >> and i'm chris cato. and boy, that rain's been heavy in some parts of the area this morning. let's begin with meteorologist bill henley and his first alert forecast. good morning, bill. >> good morning, chris. and that rain is on the move, now in center city. we're seeing it fall in the area, just some light rain falling on 30th street station right now. if you look closely, you can see the flags in front of the train station that are blowing in winds that are gusting to 24 miles an hour. the radar shows the steady, light rain has just moved into philadelphia, but we're still tracking heavy downpours right along the jersey coastline. central new jersey, toms river, stafford is seeing heavy rainfall. most of the heavy rain and thunderstorm activity is offshore, but there are some heavy downpours in parts of new castle county and into new jersey, salem county. we've seen some thunder and lightning there as well. it's part of a system that has some areas damp and others dry. allentown has seen no rainfall ye

. >> i'm tracy davidson. let's get an update with bill henley in the first alert weather center. bill? >> warm air pushing into the area with lots of moisture creating the fog this morning. not terribly thick but seeing areas north and west with some fog to start with and could get a bit thicker. clear view across center city and the view from the adventure aquarium and no fog there and just a little bit of low cloudiness overhead and it is dry. areas north and west, there it is. little bit of light fog right now. in reading, two-mile visibility there. not an issue for blue bell, and doylestown is fine and pocono mountains seeing the worst of it this morning and just gotten a bit better there from mt. pocono and now half a mile visibility and it was down to half a mile at northeast philadelphia at the airport and now five-mile visibility. the fog has already cleared out there. there's still a chance and temperatures cool and see more spots of fog pop up. 66 degrees right now and the temperatures will be popping up during the day and be in the low 70s and good-bye fog at 9:00 and

i'm tracy davidson. >> and i'm vai sikahema. let's get right to meteorologist bill henley with his first alert forecast. bill, i had to turn the heat on all the way in my drive this morning. pretty cold out there. >> and temperatures have only gotten colder this morning since you've come in. clouds have been breaking and we've seen temperatures, more of them in the 30s right now. most of the area is in the 30s. a few spots have dropped into the low 30s. one of the warmer spots right now is cape may. it's not exactly warm out there, but right along the ocean the temperatures are not as cold. but everybody's chillier than yesterday at this time, down 21 degrees in mt. holly. it's 12 degrees colder in philadelphia and 18 degrees colder in trenton. the temperatures currently 42 degrees at philadelphia international. trenton is 34, and it's 38 degrees in wilmington. no wind this morning and not much heat, either. 39 degrees at 7:00. we will see sunshine and some scattered clouds at 9:00, 46 degrees. and then up to 55 degrees and stil

. >> and i'm tracy davidson. let's get details of the windy and wet conditions outside with meteorologist bill henley. bill? >> good morning, tracy. we're already tracking some heavier downpours, especially in delaware and south jersey. stormy conditions in much of new jersey as thunderstorms have rolled through. you can see the clouds over center city and the rain is not far away. right now the radar shows a stretch of rain that goes through new jersey into delaware. by far the heaviest rainfall, most active thunderstorms right along ocean county. stafford seeing quite a bit of lightning right now, and that extends offshore. the rain extends inland with some heavy downpours in southern new castle county, just to the south of middletown we've seen some thunder and lightning there. and the rainfall is just about to get started in philadelphia. it's just crossing through camden and burlington counties and about to cross the delaware. seeing a few light rain drops in southern chester county, but the rest of pennsylva
