tracy wilkins explains the fund-raiser will go on despite disapproval from the county. >> reporter: without question the volunteer fire department is committed to saving lives. that message is clear. but prince george's county fire officials worried the entire department's imagine would be tarnished if the volunteers raffled guns to raise money. >> we were just very uncomfortable with the gun show being held at one of our fire stations, a public safety agency, and we felt it was sending the wrong message. >> reporter: last year they moved the gun raffle to charles county and they're doing it again this year except this time they're teaming up with the volunteer fire department just over the line in charles county. the fund-raiser will be held eight their firehouse. i spoke with the chief for the volunteer fire department here and he didn't want to go on camera but explained to me that part of the reason for the fund-raiser is that facility right there. he says it's dated and talked about the truck that's more than 15 years old meaning it's way beyond it's expiration date. >> not trying to d
