you can see it there and transamerica pyramid of course. so no choppy waters this morning. we definitely saw that yesterday around some of the beaches and around the bay because of those strong winds. and our temperatures are still pretty cool in places like santa rosa and livermore in the 40s. 51 for san francisco. san jose at 50. so we have those clear skies and that's contributing to the cooler air right now. temperatures are on the rise. fog has formed. valley fog in the sacramento valley and a sliver of clouds at the coast but mainly in monterey, half moon bay visibility down to 7 miles. west winds have calmed down. a little south wind in oakland. west-southwest wind in vallejo but barely much just three miles an hour. across the north bay calm, as well. so here's what he is going on. that low that brought us those strong west winds and cooler air has now moved on to the east and north. so they are seeing some rain down in places like idaho and montana. we'll see the effect of this ridge of high pressure. that's going to bring our temperatures on up. so it's starting t

transamerica pyramid kind of getting covered by clouds as the wind pushes it in and out and it clearss up so then pushes it right back over to block our views a little bit. so at this hour, temperature- wise, 53 in san francisco. 54 in livermore. 59 in concord. these are normal conditions for waking up. this afternoon, temperatures will be slightly below normal. here's a look at our wind speeds right now. san jose still 15-mile-per- hour sustained winds. pretty strong for this early- morning for the south bay and then through downtown san francisco 10, oakland 9, then breezy in the delta. wind advisory will start 2 p.m. through 9 p.m. for lake tahoe and all the lakes in fact across the sierra da. s a flag warnonnevade waves. 5, twth gorgeous it is over at lake tahoe. homewood camera view, this angle actually shows a bit of that wind already blowing those trees. i saw a lot of these trees swaying so that's what they will have more of this afternoon. if you are going there, keep it in mind. 60s and 70s this afternoon. breezy at the a's game, some clouds, 64 degrees first pitch at 6:35.

transamerica pyramid >>> good saturday morning. it is 5:56. the bay area are under a microclimate weather alert as we look at the mere mid. pink and orange skies. it will be a hot day. thanks so much for joining us. you say some areas will be worse than others? >> yeah, specifically for the north bay. especially because there is a red flag warning in effect. and for the north bay hills, that will remain in effect through tonight at about 11:00 pl. as far as lake county goes, that is in place through sunday morning at about 5:00 a.m. the reason that there is a red flag warning is because we're tracking gusty northerly winds and low humidity levels. when we talk about the pawnee fire area, this is definitely something we have to keep an eye on. unfortunately it will gust at time 2s 20 to 30 miles per hour and temperatures ranging from 98 upwards of 100 degrees which means we are expecting that dry air to take over tonight and humidity levels to recover. but for now, we're tracking and i will of that and i'll have more details during the 7:00 a.m
