clear look at the beautiful transamerica pyramid here in san francisco. to start the day, if you're up wrapping presents, thanks for joining us. we have a sunshiny day and kari hall gives you the weather and traffic. >> we will get some sunshine later today. i know it was so soggy in parts of the bay area yesterday. now that weather system has moved on and the cold air will dip in, we'll start to feel it tomorrow morning but not too bad out there right now. we look at our clean sweep on mobile doppler radar, we can see this system as it moves away from the bay area, some sierra know. if you will be traveling akrolgs the reen cross the region headed south you will have rain toward the sierra. the snow showers will gradually taper off and here we look at sunshine and it's starting to cool off, as the cold front sweeps through, we can almost see by our temperatures where it is now. it's past through ukiah and it's 37 degrees. you head down to santa rosa and napa it's 42 and 49 in antioch with some low 50s from san francisco down to the south bay. so our temp

a live look oversan francisco bay from the transamerica cam, as we have clear skies. clear skies means it's going to be cool tonight. a bit of a chill in the air. not only tonight, but also on move, as we have your first look at the move forecast, and it is looking dry. dry, but on the chilly side. around the coast at midnight, it will be in the upper 40s. pretty much the bay around the shore line. inland, it will be down to the low 40s. if you are one of the mait embarcadero in san francisco, start out at 7:00 p.m. at 52 degrees, clear. and then, by midnight, down to about 47, and also cool ? >> the partial government shut down rolls into yet another day, the effects of running head listening into holiday vacations, the parking lot at mirror beach allegedly full according to the sign, but in actuality, locked up and empty, forcing those into traffic jams and fender benders on crumbling single-track marin roads. >> it's rally frustrating everything is closed. we've tried to go to all these different places around san francisco, and they're all shut down. >> especially

the twinkling top of the transamerica pyramid, where right now the numbers in the city, 57 degrees in concord, 53. and in santa rosa, it is 52. it will be a chilly start to sunday morning. a few clouds around, and the numbers range from the upper 30s inland to the upper 40s along the shore line. but it will be dry. tomorrow at least. but showers are lurking off the pacific northwest. seattle gets rain tomorrow. and the bottom of that cool front will slowly begin to head south, and early monday morning, there's rain on the way for the bay area. you can see that in the future cast. we'll freeze this midday tomorrow so you can see it's kind of a gauze of high clouds over the face of the sun for much of sunday. and as time goes only, we run this from 11 in the morning on sunday through the early hours of monday morning, when a weak cool front is draped across the north bay. so we get some light showers early monday, and then it will make a slight mess of the morning commute before it heads out monday and. not a lot in terms of rain. a few 10ths of an inch up at ucaya. the same for san raf
