that is why the transbay tube is shut down. but if you have to get across the bay from oakland to san francisco and have to work on public transit bart will have shuttle bus service. now today is supposed to be the last day of this weekend long transbay tube closure. the tunnel that connects oakland and san francisco on bart is closed. when commuters return tomorrow morning, they might notice the trip through that tube is a little less noisy thanks to resurfacing and repair work. we will be speaking with a bart representative a little later on to find out how that repair work is going. as of right now, bart is expected to be back up and running in time for tomorrow's commute. a lot of people took the ferry to get across the bay. ridership on saturday was more than double what it typically is on a saturday with more than 84,000 people boarding ferries on saturday alone to get from alameda and oakland to san francisco. but if you have no other choice top get from oakland to san francisco you can catch one of the shuttle buses. th

bart will reopen its transbay tube to commuters come tuesday morning. whether be talking with a bart representative a little later on. in the meantime if you have to get across the bay and bart is usually your only option, bart will be having that shuttle bus service. it will be leaving from is theth and broadway in oakland and -- from 19th and broadway in oakland. this is the second weekend in a month that the transbay tube has been closed. now when commuters return on bart tuesday morning, they might notice the trip through the tube is a little less noisy. with the transbay tube shut down a lot of people took the ferry to get across the bay. ridership on saturday was more than double than it typically with 84,000 people boarding ferries on saturday alone to get from alameda and oakland to san francisco. but if you have no other choice baa to take bart across the bay, there is a way to do that using that shuttle service that bart will have around 8:00 this morning. but 8:00 is when we will see the shuttle buses come through here. back to you guys. >> o

this is a segment of high speed rail that will enable the service from san francisco for transbay terminal to is san jose and connecting to the central valley. the high speed authority met with a number of agency squz we coordinate behind the scenes to insure good outreach and technical input. there was a open house ateneded on september 8 so the high speed rail can atened the community meetings. we thank them for compling to san francisco and taking the input from our community. the transbait transit center will be the northern terminus of high speed rail and we coordinate with mtc cost review which is under way. as yoi recall the transportation authority asked for [inaudible] work with us on the mtc cost review and we have reviewed ways to help close the funding gap. several strategies emerged. there was a reliminary report and look forward to seeing the full recommendations as well aathize phase 2 cost review within a 90 day deadline that was set. what has emerged is the need for better risk management, cost estimation and perhaps also cost containment working group orchange mechanism s
