the board of supervisors and development authority approved the treasure island transportation plan and e.i.r. in 2011. in 2014, the board of supervisors designated timma as the sfpta as the agency to act as timma. the authorization legislation anticipated that the timma board would need to be active in overseeing the program and active in adjusting it to make sure it would meet its goals as circumstances change over time. to do this the timma board is authorized to evaluate and monitor the program and the 2011 plan anticipated a variety of changes might be needed over time as required. these are shown here but include the amounts of the congestion fee which was anticipated at $5 in 2011. the times it applies, the drivers to whom it applies and any exemptions or discounts. along those lines the timma board did take first actions in 2016 with a partial set of toll policies, not complete set, but some findings that were made at that time and that was based on travel demand, forecasts and financial projections that we did following timma's designation in 2014. we found that the changes sho

about $1.7 million including he vol waiting the program and providing updates to the transportation authority board and we're trying to identify future funding that can be used for future operation of that program. we also fund a variety of the capital programs that john was talking about. we fund the school engineering program at $1 million a year, including school audits and traffic calming. we funded over 80015 mph signs around schools and capital funding around the schools using the prop k sales tax to leverage larger competitive program grants. and we also fund a variety of programs that prioritize locations near schools. in terms of transportation authority-led studies, back in 2016 we conducted a trial transportation survey. that found that about half of school trips were longer than 2 miles and caregivers were interested in transportation solutions for these longer trips. that information has been informing our current school access plan which is looking at improved populations for the medium to long-term trips to schools. those not easily walked or bike. this plan is together with the sfmt

the efforts that went through the board of supervisors, or got involved in some way or another and got some attention from the -- from the county transportation authority. but in some capacity or another, we d discussed vision zero. if you will recall, there were a number of hearings that we're always having with the -- with the t.a., the transportation authority. there was a hearing called, the what lies beneath hearing that happened. there were a number of responses to the covid pandemic in changing our transit programming and our response plan to the pandemic. there was a lot of discussion and action about our customer information system that we are all eagerly awaiting, including the approval of the system itself, the cost of the system. and there was discussion at the t.a. about our better market street, the direction that we would be moving forward with that project. and there was lots of discussion on the merging mobility and innovation, particularly as regards to our scooter permit program expanding. that program and making sure that we are providing services in a way that we can regulate accordingly. and then there was lots of contracts that -
