first of all, i covered the trayvon martin trial here on msnbc, which was disturbing in and of itselfwe've talked about stand your ground, but one of the things that always disturbed me as a criminal defense attorney about florida was the concealed weapon laws, and just giving the guns out as concealed weapons, like m & ms. and obviously, you're going to continue to have these kinds of incidences, if you're going to allow everyone to have concealed weapons. and that's one of the problems here. and this is like a game of -- you have to be reasonable, right? so a person with a gun and a person pushing you, obviously, most jurors say that is not reasonable. but also understand that in florida the way the court works is that you have a stand your ground trial first. it's like a preliminary hearing. and then most judges because they don't want to make the decisions anymore, they say okay, you're just going to go on to trial. and then it becomes a self-defense type of a case. right? but the stand your ground thing is going to continue to be a problem as long as you're going to allow people
