. >> joining me now our expert legal panel, trent copeland, paul callan, susan constantine, and hollyr prosecutor. susan, i want to go to you first before we get into reading the closing arguments, i want to ask you about the jury now, they're sequestered, six jurors, four alternates, what is that process like now that they've been through the trial, there's some relief that the testimony and the arguments are over, but can they stay in contact with their friends and family? how does a smaller jury affect deliberations? >> first of all, the judge has already gone through the instructions, a lot of those questions were raised during or right after voir dire because the family is concerned they have kids and they want to connect with their family and the judge emphasized it was limited contact, so, yes, they're going to see their family but i think it will be highly monitored because they don't want the outside influences because you never know if the family members are watching television or reading the news. at this point in time, they're tired, they've been sequestered for a long per

that's how you know it's not about race. >> i want to bring in trent copeland. he is a defense attorney. trent, if you're sitting there, put yourself in this role. if you're the defense attorney and you're listening to the prosecution give that argument, it's the last thing really of substance besides the jury instructions that the jury hears, are you concerned that it's effective? >> of course i'm concerned. because, look, it's the last thing the jury is going to hear. it's going to resonate with the yur when they go back inhat room. what i'm also hoping is that the jury is going to take back one of the instructions that the court gives them. that is you can't decide this case on emotion and anger. you have to look at the facts of this case. remember, when it was the defense's turn to present their closing statement, they dissected the evidence almost with the -- the tactical precision of a doctor dissecting an going through a surgeon's heart. they really went through every piece of evidence. by contrast, it was the prosecutor that was asking this jury to use th
