that is a live lightning strike in trenton along i-95. it was raining and now thundersnow. that is giving you the sign of the intensity. as this nor'easter is kicking in and producing a significant amount of snow coming down through parts of the region and lets go in close toward this. the motion of this area. heavy snow lifting northward, and westward. and this area you see the lightning strike along i-95 and thundersnow. coming down at a good clip. i was checking the rates here. this is 1 to 3 inches an hour. we have not seen is race through here and accumulating quickly and staying over i-95. snowing heavy in chadds ford and media and the blue route and 309 and i-95 in trenton and farther we see the movement of the band there shifting up to the north and as we look at the bands right here in south jersey. once that heavy ban moves through this heavy band moves through and the snow is coming down and elmer and hammonton. an icy mix and the snowfall getting closer to the coast and as it does. visibility is an issue less than a mile. a third of a mile .30 because of the sno

in bucks county and trenton you see the heart of the heavier rain. the stuff to the west not so bad. as we look outside, we have cloudy skies across the region. camera bouncing we're seeing gusts in the 20s and 30s this morning and they will build from there as we get into the afternoon. taking a look at the current temperatures. it's well above freezing, 42 degrees is the temperature in philadelphia. even as we change over to wet snow later on, temperatures will hold on to 40 across the region. we expect wet roads and grassy accumulation if that. winds are gusting into the 20 to 30-mile an hour range even higher than that already in some spots. there you see the win wheeling effect, wram around snow coming -- wrap around snow coming in from the west. we'll see wet snow at times today. maybe a total changeover, it will be windy and wet snow mixing in at times. temperatures close to 40 all the way today. that will be the case across the region with everybody sitting in the low 40s from allentown down to cape may. in terms of wet snow some of it poppin

look at it as it pivots through, from trenton stretching down to atlantic city. that's where we're seeing the most intense band of snow right now. so through southampton, all the way down to the jersey shore, that's what we're going to be looking at. philadelphia, a little burst as you cross the river right here. so in parts of northeast philadelphia, you're still looking at a pretty good clip of snow. but toward the airport, things are improving. so let's take a look. in lehigh valley, berks county, richland, you are starting the clear. northtown, king of prussia, starting to clear. parts of philadelphia clearing. woodbury, chester clearing as well. we get into south jersey. stow creek clearing. glassboro mixing in with rain. and morris river, you're clearing. middletown, wilmington, and clearing dover. clearing. let's go to the jersey shore. cape may now clearing. but we do have that pivot of that strong band of snow coming right down through atlantic city, ocean city. all the way up towards toms river. this is the area we're going to be watching for the heavie
